Hello.
My name is Johnny. I'm 29 years old and obsessed with Pokemon cards. I began playing competitively in August of 2013. I don't have a child who drug me into this, I just have spare time, disposal income, and an intense passion for shuffling.
I am starting this blog for two reasons:
1) As a personal outlet. For all of the great things pokemon provide me, professional advancement is not among them. I get to talk shop during league on Sundays, but am left with imaginary conversations the other 6 days of the week.
2) To promote creative deck building. I understand the appeal of tier one decks, but in my opinion, deck building is half of the game. There is a lot to be learned from the study of successful deck lists, but simply copying them and running them in your local league seems to miss the point. In short, #FREEKECLEON
I will be posting articles that profile single cards that intrigue/entertain me, and reports on decks I have built and played either in my local league or online. Some decks will be good, some decks will be awful, but hopefully all will be fun to play.
